Just been given these by the doc, am I likely to be visiting happy land? I've just taken 1 for now...

Drop two into a martini.

Come up smiling tomorrow.

I take two whenever I have migraines as they are the only thing that touches them. They are strong but I never have any side affects. They do tend to make me want to sleep but I am not sure if that is just the headache.

200mg or 400mg ones?

I took 2 of the 400mg ones for toothache once and washed them down with a very large Glenfiddich, was the best nights sleep I've had in years.

I'm currently on dihydrocodeine, if you think co-dydramol is strong wait until you get prescribed this!

They are a combination of 10mg dihydrocodeine and 500mg paracetamol and are usually prescribed for moderate pain relief. They can often cause constipation and drowsiness along with nausea and dizziness. Taking them with alcohol is not recommended.

Lucky. Had them prescribed after an op. After a day of dizziness, sleepiness and nausea, decided to ditch them and enjoy the pain for a few days.

I actually remember very little but woke up feeling fitter than I had in months after that sleep.

I was on these - quite a strong dose too I remember. I became well acquainted with my sofa and Pink Floyd.

There is some confusion here.
Co-dydramol is paracetemol and dihydrocodeine. Each tablet contains 500mg paracetamol and either 7.46, 10, 20 or 30mg dihydrocodeine.
Given individually the doses for an adult are: paracetemol 1g every 6 hours, dihydrocodeine 30-60mg every 6 hours.

Paracetamol is very safe except in overdose (when it's lethal) while dihydrocodeine has some nasty side effects and is addictive, but is much stronger then either codeine (found in co-codamol) or dexstrpopoxiphine (found in co-proxamol).

Use with caution.
