So, I just came back from a short Holiday where I managed to burn my lips quite badly (the Sun).
Im not sure if it is going to develop into a cold sore, or just a blister, but at the moment, the whole of my bottom lip (where the lip meets the skin) is starting to blister up.
What can I do to minimise the outbreak of blisters & coldsores?
Cheers all
ETA: thanks for moving the thread, Mods....I thought I should have put it here after I pressed submit.

ISTR that a cold sore is caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. So it's just blistering you'll have to cope with. Lip balm could be your friend here. The good news is that lips will heal pretty quickly.
You are correct about the Virus, but it can be triggered by exposure to the Sun.definitely get using the lip balm to keep them moisturised.
i got a pot of pawpaw ointment in oz recently which is brilliant for general burns (sun or otherwise)/grazes etc & isn't a girly lip balm stick sadly dont think you can easily/quickly get it in the uk
failing that try to get a lip balm with aloe vera in which really helps keep blistering to a minimum on sunburn (google seems to think banana boat do one)
