I'm in the same situation as you mate, all the doctor could advise is loose weight and excercise. I've been doing that for the last 6 months lol

since I've been exercising and losing weight ...less complaints of snoring and less indigestion too.

ITs my OH that does the snoring and for someone so petite she dont half make a racket that can rival a buzz saw...

Think I may invest in surgery or some type of nose device for her as we have tried everything else to no avail...

Re-name the spare room "her room" and the main bedroom "your room".

Problem solved.

I used to use a product called 'Helps Stop Snoring' (it does what it says on the tin) which seemed to quieten things down. Those nasal strips also helped a bit.

My Dad used a CPAP machine for a while, I think it improved things, but he sounded like Darth Vader.

I use a CPAP machine after being diagnosed with severe sleep apnea.

My snoring has reduced significantly, it was always a good topic for jokes previously.

A mate of mine is exercise mad and doesn't have a pick of fat on him... He still snores... So it might improve matters slightly but it's unlikely to get rid of it completely and snoring can often be caused by other factors (like blocked airways etc).

I went to the docs and was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea, instead of having a CPAP machine I was offered UPPP surgery and I've been ok since, I think it's because I was 23 at the time they didn't want to hook me up to the machine.

On an unrelated note, that is a mighty fine garage, DoctorDR!
