but gay this but..
my hairdresser always says to stop using cheap stuff as its too strong and strips hair of everything etc and only use expensive ones ( they sell obviously..)
question is today i saw baby shampoo is 35p for a large bottle. I presume this must not be too strong for babies yet still "work"
is there any difference between using 35p baby shampoo and cheap/expensive adult shampoo?
obviously normally i use engine oil grrrr

As I live with a hairdresser, and have been surrounded by them my entire life, I can confirm what she's saying is true - to a degree.my hairdresser always says to stop using cheap stuff as its too strong and strips hair of everything etc and only use expensive ones ( they sell obviously..)

As with any 'product' they differ, gels do the same thing, stick your hair up, but some will do harm, others will not.
My wife will not use any other product other than Paul Mitchell. She also has ones specifically for use after swimming to strip chlorine. However, they're fecking expensive! We're talking closer to a tenner for a bottle.
If it helps, she's happy to use cheap conditioners, but I can't remember the reasoning behind it, rest assured there will be some.

Just asked what it is she gets. She said redkin, paul mitchell and bed head are all good, and that this is a well priced place to buy from:

so by their logic you need a shampoo that does not strip the hair of everything and then any old conditioner? therefore why cant i use 35p baby shampoo as surely they will not make baby stuff strong? does the shampoo stage add any more? can you ask them their logic please!
I guess it's a bit like wanting a shampoo to clean the car. You don't want it to strip all the paint off, but you do want it to remove the dirt. Thus you use a proper shampoo, not a 35p bottle of white spirit.
The conditioner is the LSP, the wax, that protects the hair.
