Weight loss before and after (target reached)
Discussion
So i've gone on about it quite a lot on here recently, hammering the weight loss, the gym, protein supplements, best way to do this, best way to do that.
At my heaviest last summer, I probably reached the best part of 18.5 stone. Incredible really given I was still playing top level badminton/tennis and was probably a lot fitter and more mobile than a lot of people carrying a lot less weight.
Having reached the finals of our club tournament last summer, the pictures of the final were doing the rounds and I stumbled across these on the website...
This was definitely the point where I said to myself, st, this has gone far enough. I was probably 15.5 during uni and the 3 years of excess had seen me pile on another 3 stone.
My parents and friends had commented I was piling it on and I should probably do something about it but at the time when I looked in the mirror I never really saw it.
So I decided that within the year I was going to lose 6 stone and come down to my ideal weight of 12.5
Well today when I stepped on the scales, I was under 12.5 meaning that for the last 7 days, no matter when I weighed myself I was under 12.5 stone meaning I'm happy that the target was reached. I'd been under 12.5 before, in the morning, before a glass of water but I never classed that as truly having reached my target.
I probably started the weight loss in November so it's actually been 6 stone in around 6 months.
Done with a combination of huge amounts of cardio and 3 or 4 weights sessions a week in the morning before work and breakfast.
Food intake has been porridge for breakfast, lots of meat/fish at lunch and same again with veg in the evening with low carb protein shakes in between. It's been such hard work but I'm happy with where I am now.
38" waist has become 32/33" and a 48" chest has become 40/42" depending on clothes.
Feel better, sport has improved, confidence up, everything is better, clearer, less sweaty, more concentration.
Recommended to everyone.
Anyway, here are the pics of after. Apologies, taken today on my iPhone. In work, in the bogs. But you get the idea.
It wasn't as hard as I hoped it would be, and I hope this post spurs those of you who are currently doing the same to carry on with it.

Good going!
I'm currently 12st 4lbs, but i've only lost 25lbs since Christmas, 6st is very impressive
Pulled a calf muscle Wednesday though, so cardio is off for a week or so
Gives me a chance to work on the guns though
I still can't seem to shift my gut though, but it's shrinking I know, due to the measurements, but just doesn't feel like it's going anywhere.
Summer is my favourite time of year though as I bike to the beach and spend the whole weekends being active, kiting, beach volleyball, footy etc...
I'm aiming for 12st but with a bit of definition.
Again though, well done....it's hard work but worth it huh?

Gut still a bit flabby, but I'm sure it'll catch up, sits up and core exercises I'm hoping will slowly deal with it.Again though, well done....it's hard work but worth it huh?
Sums it up, hard work, but definitely worth it, without a doubt.
Like I've said before, well done
Now the hard work starts....keeping it off. I lost 7 stone in a year, and kept all of if off for 3 years, then I hit a very stressful time in my life (operation, homeless, buying a house....plus a few more nasty things) and then weight started to go back on
I realised yesterday that it is actually a year since all that crap started to happen, so maybe time to do something about the weight again.
Still think you looked better bigger

Top work chap. I've managed 2 and a bit stone in the last 4 months and there's nothing better than having to go out and buy new clothes as your weight reduces!
Not sure why you are touching yourself quite so personally in the second 'after' photo mind you...
Is he nursing a semi-lob?Not sure why you are touching yourself quite so personally in the second 'after' photo mind you...
Anyway, good work on that. Makes me realise I need to get out and do it too. I'm over 20 stone just now but reasonably fit like you were, just grossly overweight. I reckon 6 stone in 6 months is doable too.
