Gents (and maybe the laydees) above one of my top teeth my gum has in the last couple of days become really sore and red.
I can't get an appointment at my dentist for a while, but it sounds like it could be the onset of gum disease? (or I may have just poked myself in the gum!) can you recommend any over counter treatment i could use until I can get to the dentist?

Thanks smile

Abscess? Could get some antibiotics from the doc as a short-term solution.

I always use Corsodyl antiseptic mouthwash when I've got any gum irritations. It seems to work for me smile

Bah grumbles, thanks anyway, have got an appointment booked but not until mid next week, will try the mouthwash/bonjela and give my teeth a proper bashing witht the brush and see if it helps.

I don't want to go and waste the dentists time (and part with any money!) if it's something as simple as an ulcer/sore that I've made by poking the gum.

Thanks anyway
