As title suggest really, was boiling something in the kitchen and accidentally gone and burned my thumb, the skin had seemed to of shrivelled up, i said the necessary expletives and forgot about it, but then i caught it on something else and the dead skin ripped off, Now it hurts like a bh, currently got some "burn cream" on, but i have my doubts about it actually doing anything

Moist, with sterile covering.

Or salt and lemon juice.

You choose.

i see a few people have said about covering it up, now i was always under the impression that a burn like this should be left uncovered and to let the air get to it, am i talking bks?

Yep, you're talking bollix smile

Nice and moist helps healing. Dry a graze, wet a burn.

Now it hurts like a bh,
That's excellent news.

If it was painless it would be a much deeper burn and take much longer to heal.

Pain is good with a burn,

and ditto to the moist+cover advice

go and buy some Flamazine cream

I've heard pure lavender oil is very good for this kind of thing.

Sterile dressing
Leave it alone to heal
DON'T put any cream etc. on it
If it looks infected don't mess about, go see a doctor
