Pain in thigh

If got this shooting pain going down the front of my thigh. I've had it before occasionally but today I keep getting it and it hurts more than it had before. It normally only last for about 5-10 seconds. Sometimes it will cause my leg to twitch depending on how I'm sitting so I'm guessing its got something to do with nerves. Anyone know what it is?

if it's nerve related and causes any muscles of the quads to contract it'll be femoral nerve. you're getting no other pain anywhere else, such as back pain? how long you been having it, and can you remember any trauma that might have brought the symptoms on?

it's useless trying to diagnose neuromusculoskeletal things online, it's nigh on impossible in cases like this. only assumptions can ever be made IMO. go and see someone.
