ARGHH!

It's especially bad this year. I'm quite literally dying of it. Normally the bloody Flixonase quells most of it but this week especially it seems to be having precisely fk all effect! Eyes watering and itching so badly I want to scratch them out with a fork and drop-kick them as far away as possible, nose running, sneezing. fking s.

Am I alone? Please say I'm not alone. I need a cure. A Definitive cure. Or I'm going to go mad. It's not even summer yet!

Sounds like you are allergic to volcanic ash.

You're stuffed sunshine. There's no escape.

Planning a trip to the docs soon to get me script'd up on my yearly anti-hayfever drug of choice - Fexofenadine Hydrochloride. Doc put me on this stuff after everything else (and i've tried ALOT of other stuff over the years) just wasn't strong enough. By contrast this stuff is a lifesaver. No side affects either smile

You could try Triamcinolone (Kenalog)intramuscular injection; has been used with much success in hayfever although the research evidence is patchy.

I've had a really bad chest today - each breath leaves me feeling like i've only taken half a breath. I don;t normally get this till mid july (hayfever tends to flare up mid may - mid july, then the 'asthma-type-ste' flares up).

The volcanic dust did cross my mind - have never had a chest this bad this early. However it is now evening and it has completely gone away - could be the pollen! Maybe i'll die.

If it's making you suicidal it could be argued that your ARE literally dying of it. However we'll need pics of your death to settle it. Custard test pics mind. No using someone elses! wink

Sounds like an allergy to tree pollen. I get this, but strangely enough I don't get hay fever during the grass season.

All antihistamines make me drowsy to some extent, but a bog-standard Sudafed tablet (Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride) controls the allergy symptoms most of the time and works out far cheaper than antihistamines. If it's really bad, I add half a Clarityn tablet (Loratedine).

What do you suggest drowning yourself in a swimming pool full of custard?

I am not sure but I may have the same thing, and it is killing me dead. I thought it was hay fever, but fook me it feels more like a severe cold. Normal anti-histamines have done nothing so now I am on cold and flu tablets just so I can get some sleep.

got the pills from last year, no urges to take them yet, will see how long I can go

might have been the honey cappings that I ate for most of last winter that sorted it ?

It does seem to early this year. Normally hits me late May.

Have itchy eyes and very itchy throat and roof of mouth. Luckily Beconase is keeping the sneezing away.

Mine's just started this year, so far it's just a slight itch in the eyes and bit of a catch in the throat.

hay fever is such a ball breaker. i get it really badly too. is the above drug freely available or does it require doc subscription?
