Ok, I have rather large feet, 5'9" and size 11-12 depending on my shoe.

In my right foot I suffer from Metatarsus on a regular basis but I put this down to my foot bones being too long and I can manage it with sturdy boots etc.

Anyhow I have taken to walking in the country with the dogs and all went well for a week but now I have a ripping sensation in my left heel, I can go to bed and all is well but when i put my foot on the floor in thr morning it feels like something is ripping in my foot (this description does not do it justice), it also rips when I walk uphill I.E. my heels pointing upwards, when I go upstairs, run after the dogs etc. It gets quite painful very quickly.

In my mind a tendon is ripping off and my body refuses to control the foot after the rip.

Is this just a teething problem and am I likely to walk it off? I am otherwise fit.

It is a total pain in the arse and spoiling what is otherwise a lovely day out.

Metatarsus
Metatarsalgia?

Is the new pain at the back of the heel or underneath on your sole?
