I thought I would be ok to wait a week until I can see my GP tp get a referral. BUt in all honesty a trip to the supermarket has half crippled me. The speed humps on the way home were torture.

I think it is sacro-illiac related. There is a small possibility I fractured something 6 months ago but surely this would have healed by now.

Would voltarol be a good start unitl I can see the GP on monday for a referral. I am limping rather noticeably - I don't want my sticks back

why not go private if you're in that much pain. GP is likely to give you some pain killers at first and send you on your way, asking you to come back in another 3-4 weeks if it's not cleared up.

chiropractor, osteopath, physio.... will all be able to help you more than a GP.

i'm not biased towards chiropractic though rolleyes

hehe

I doubt private cover would cover this.

Have got somewhat stuck on the sofa - volatrol and gin seem to be doing the trick... until I need to get up

i meant private treatment. i.e. go and see your local chiropractor, physio or osteopath. don't piss arse around waiting 6 months for the gp to do something about it.
