Language Disorders - any experiance?
Discussion
My daughter age nearly 4 has been diagnosed with a language disorder.
Had anyone experianced a similar diagnosis? We have been told she requires therapy and quickly as she starts school this year. We were also advised that our local waiting list for therapy is very long and we should not delay treatment at all therefore suggestion we go private asap.

My son (now 8) was diagnosed with a pragmatic speech disorder and was advised to see a speech therapist.
We did all of this and I have to say I was a little against it as there's nothing wrong with him, more a case that people seem desperate to pin a label of some sort on children.
Not sure if the therapy worked, but he's doing well at school, no longer sees a therapist and is scoring 90% in English.
He's rubbish at maths and I'm sure there's a name for that too!
