I had a very nice pair of hand made brogues - cost a small fortune (to me). Sole wore through so took to a local shoe repair shop who charged something like £40 to repair them.
Within days my feet stank and I had a verruca. I'll not be getting shoes repaired again.
I've tried creams, powders & sprays galore - no good. Very dry and hot between toes.
What does the PH massive recommend please?
NB I've considered amputation but am keen to try less dramatic remedies first.

Odor Eaters always for any sweat and smell, and to prolong the life of the shoe.
Personally, I buy cheap enough shoes that I'd laugh at £40 repair quote.
For the verruca, the home use freeze-it-to-death (Wartner IIRC) followed by the sticky-napalm-death (salicylic acid Bazooka, go straight for extra strong) worked for me.
ETA- Hard to see how the shoe repair caused the verruca, in truth. You catch them by contact.
