I normally have Madras but last night I decided to have a Vindaloo. Now I have major ring sting. What's the best way of treating it (I don't really wanna rub Vaseline round my arse).

Cheers

The active component of chillies (capsaicin) is fat-soluble. Get the Vaseline out.

A by-product of the fractionation of crude oil, therefore a 'fat' of sorts.

Aye, hydrophobic, true. Can get vaseline with rose or aloe vera, so any "aftershocks" will be fragrant too. Win-win.
