At the end of last year my partner was diagnosed with Benign Intracranial Hypertension. She has been pescribed Acetazolamide. The trouble is that this is causing quite marked side affects. Tingling in toes, lower legs, fingers and hands. She also still gets quite a few dizzy spells.

I've been pressing her to go back to the GP or get refered back to the Hospital.

Are then an good alternatives to this drug or other ways of managing this condition ?

I'm no experts but the drug she is on is a diuretic and there are others on the market. I know there are some surgical techniques to help relieve the pressure but obviously she needs to speak to a specialist who knows her case.
