Exercise, bike riding is brilliant for getting lost in your own thoughts in the woods, at peace with nature and all. Swimming can be a trudge up and down in the same pool but after a quick warm-up it's pretty hypnotic and relaxing. Flying a big kite down the beach, a nice all-day walk in the countryside with the GF if the weather permits on a weekend. We walk a good couple of miles every night after our dinner to get the food moving and get a lungfull of fresh air. Don't eat too late and have a quick brisk walk to get it moving, don't eat anything after 8pm and I never have trouble sleeping

Giving the car a good going over, it can take hours for a proper wash, clay bar, polish, wax, hoover, glass but it helps me unwind.

Or to really relax and clear the mind, a quick shmoke of the old herbal remedies but I can't ever condone that sort of behaviour now kids.

Very easily - find the answers you need to stop your nagging thoughts. That's the theory part.

The practical part takes working on. Stuff like Yoga only really works with time and for a select few who learn how to do it. Most cannot, same with meditation which though helpful is actually quite a challenge to master.
