Any guys having issues with their other halves "coil"??
Discussion
Guys,
After many years on the pill and then implants Mrs Signal Green decided she wanted a more permanent and side-effect free contraceptive solution - and as she couldnt persuade me to get the snip......... (dont ask - aside from a fear of needles, knives and doctors, I also have a couple of pals who had it done at their wives behest - only to discover some time later their wives were having affairs - and that these self same wives who "don't want another baby...ever"...are suddenly up the duff with their new beau's perfectly functioning seed! whilst they are trying to explain to their new girlfriends why they cant have kids! I'd hate that!)
..sorry to digress,.....anyway so Mrs SignalGreen goes and gets a Merina (Marina? - thats a bad omen! Hope its not a British Leyland spin-off) coil fitted. So after the recommended week off - was back on the case - and I started to get the impression all was not well....long story short I am finding it extremeley painful and unpleasant..!
So has anyone else experienced this?

Yes i've had the same problem, haven't got a fix for you other than a consultation with the doc about it. I beleive the coil last 5 years and that's it, she can't have another so you may need to look at other alternatives anyway. So has anyone else experienced this? -
I've had the same with Landlady years ago when she had one. She explained to the Dr.'s and Nurses and they said much the same that I must be enormous or imagining it. Given the empirically provable inaccuracy of the former, it was left as the latter.
I have to say though, that Landlady suffered quite badly when it was due to be removed. I think 3 years is/was the maximum time and for one reason and another we left it longer than this. Obviously having two two bar-staff of our own now, it didn't have a long-term physical effect but it was very painful for her at the time. So - keep an eye on it!

Guys the coil does indeed remain in the uterous but it has a couple of nylon strings tethered to it which protrude through her cervix and basically exist to facilitate removal (so don't tug on them whatever you do)
it's these that are prickling your bell end, not the coil itself. They are supposed to soften up with time. what I can add is that I didn't ever feel anything unusual myself however we experienced major side effects:
Merina - which is loaded with hormones - she went mental until it was removed some months later
normal copper coil - made her bleed like a slaughtered pig for months (again until removed)
Currently looking into permanent options and as she's volunteering to go under the knife I'm planning to just shut up, pay up and generally go along with it, I'm much like the OP when it comes to the snip.
eta and go easy on sonic, the oxo tower remark is only a tired joke if taken that way. I thought it was a very honest, thoughtful and well-intended suggestion.

My God that's such a boring, repetitive, predictable 'joke'.OXO Tower.
Ghey/Gayer.
That is all.

I noticed this when the wife had hers. Doctor said we obviously have a good sex life.
Go for the snip but stay awake!

Have you lubed well enough?
Herein lies the problem. The more turned on and aroused a woman becomes the more natural lubrication (fanny batter) she will produce. Her vagina (clunge) will also elongate pulling the cervix (you can't see it, don't worry) further away from her vulva (axe wound). This will mean that you can fully penetrate her (go balls deep) and not feel the cervix or the end of the coil.Sorry to sound like a woman, but...
Foreplay is your friend. You need to do a bit more than the "squeeze the boobs, frig her bean, shove it in" ideal bloke scenario. Take time over it and the reward will be better sex, a more willing partner and the coil will not try to dock with your japs eye.
Squeezing on a bit of durex play will not help the situation as it just means that you will have less friction when you do "bottom out".
I found that the worst problem with the coil was the strings getting caught under my foreskin. Not comfortable upon withdrawal.
