Errrm, thinking about getting this to put in the garage (for those days when I can't get to the gym) - whats the spare bit on the floor do (Above the word "between")?

Is it for for hanging ironing off of whilst the machine gathers dust? wink

Is it the base for the backrest? I.e. for when you're flat-benching?

An Olympic bar is longer than a standard bar. The bit between the 2 uprights needs to be made shorter if you are using a standard bar.

The attachment points in the middle are for the bench adjustment bit. The 2 uprights attach at each end.

Unless you regularly change between using a standard and Olympic bar, you will set it up for which ever and probably use the other bit as a door stop.

I think that makes sense.

Good stuff
Cheers Tris - I thought that might be the case but only looked like there was one attachment! Maybe my eyes need a workout more than the rest of me.
