Just wondering (since I left my lunch at home and came out without any means to purchase any food or drinks).

Is it detrimental to ones health to not eat and drink for about 12 hours?

I'm pretty sure food is not an issue and I think that drinks are probably not either at this time of year either but just interested in opinions from those more informed than me on the subject of hydration and nutrition.

Cheers!

I'll shut up and think of these poor little ones.

I feel ashamed to have even mentioned it now.

I was only being obtuse as this is the Internet.

Don't feel bad. We live in a different society with different perspective.

I generally work to the rule of 7

7 minutes without Air
7 days without Water
7 weeks without Food
7 years without Sex

Fail to meet any of the above and you will die!

You should be fine, though!

So my mate who reckons he never gets any sex during labour governments must be lying!

(Not that I believed him anyway, even if not fatal the consequences would be to make someone even odder than him, probably)
