Wierd one - foot sprain
Discussion
Bear with me here as I have never had a real sprain before...
About a month ago in the snow, I fell awkwardly on my right foot, and the next day it really started to hurt. If you imagine drawing a line from your big toe all the way up to the top of the ankle joint, that's where the pain was.
It did not hurt much when resting, however if I lifted my big toe, I got shooting aching pains all the way up to the ankle.
Went to the doctors 2 weeks ago, and he diagnosed it as being sprained.
It has not really got much better since then, however now the pain has moved, so whenever I walk on that foot, I get pain around the top of the ankle joint.
To those that have had similar injuries, is this normal to have the pain move around as its healing, or is it worth bothering the doctor again?
It is not that severe, just enough to make me wince.

I fell off a yellow line while crossing the road, and sprained my ankle. I developed a condition called ligamentis, very painful, takes a long time to heal, and in my case scar tissue formed adhesions in my ankle because the physiotherapy was so 'kin painful I didn't bother to do it.
So, if your ankle isn't getting better, or the symptoms change, it may be worth letting your doc know.

It can do as other joints stiffen due to the awkward way you're using it.If it's not too sore the best thing to do is keep it mobile and see how it goes (4 weeks isn't that long for a soft tissue injury to sort itself out.)
