Two weeks ago I went sledging using a plastic sheet. Great fun right up to the point where I hit a rock whilst travelling backwards at a decent pace.

Ever since I have had a lot of pain in the coccyx area. Going to a standing position after sitting is extremely painful. Getting out of the car is also when the pain is at it's worst.

Went to gp who gave me a few days worth of co-codamol. She didn't say much about the injury.

I have tried to go to the gym twice during the past two weeks, but each time the pain is so bad I think I am going to be sick. And that is just walking on the treadmill!

Has anyone had this injury and if so
, how long till I will be able to do any exercise?

I fell off a horse many years ago, whilst training for a cross country event. Bloody painful, he was a puissance horse and refused a simple fence as a squirrel run out from under it and scared him. The horse refused mid jump, I hadn't factored in he might refuse, simply because he was used/trained to jumping far bigger heights...I slid off his back and ended up on my bottom. 3 crushed vertabrae ( Coccyx) and then took at least 6 weeks at circa my age 20 to even be able to be without pain.
I was told that I could be paralysed if a similar incident happenned again, which sort of stopped me from continuing 3 day eventing/ horse riding as a hobby. Fortunately, at that age, I was quite easily swayed to motorbikes smile
