I have had a swollen, inflamed, bleeding, weeping nipple for about a year now. Docs gave me antibiotics and it went down dor a bit, but is now causing me grief. Has anyone else had any problems?

This sounds like mastitis. If the antibiotics haven't solved the problem, then you may need to go back to your doctor to check that the cause isn't a blocked duct. You say it's weeping, what colour is the discharge? If it's clear it could be due to a papilloma, which is a benign tumour. This is nothing to worry about but it could be surgically removed if it's bothering you.

thanks, its normally just clear or a bit yellow! nice! have been wearing a plaster over it for some time now. As an aside, seem to grow really long hairs from there as well!

Not sure wearing a plaster over it for some time is a good idea as no air will be able to reach the area and allow healing. You're providing a warm damp area for bacteria to mulitply.

I suggest you pop and see your doctor just to be on the safe side and get something to help clear it up. Sounds like Mastisis but the plaster won't be helping.
