Hey Guys,

Here's a random eye problem for you guys. Not the usual "floaters" etc.

Only occurs at night in the dark, in my right eye and only now and then.

Basically, it seems to happen in 2 scenarios:

1) I get into bed, tv on lights off. Decide to snooze, turn off tv so room goes totally dark. Notice my right eye feels slightly heavy and the vision from that eye has a large dark spot making everything seem darker. If I close this eye and look with my left things are normal brightness (some light creeping in through curtains).

2) Same thing if i get into bed and mess around checking a few things on the iphone.

This only seems to happen now and then, it is significant difference between the two eyes.

Any ideas?

Optician or doctor, right now. Don't piss about with your eyesight.

Will be doing this asap, just wondering if this was another phenomenon like the floater thing where everybody has it, but everyone assumes its just them.

Just wondered if you are significantly dominant in the right eye watch TV/iPhone, and you have just got a residual image - do your eyes balance after say 10 mins?

Hmm this makes sense, they do go back to normal after a few minutes. If its late I think I do tend to be on my side to the left, perhaps I am blocking the eye slightly leaving the work to the right one, hmmm.

Will see what the optician has to say,

I was always led to believe that would affect both eyes?

Ditto
GP will probably send you you to an ophalmic guy. Sounds like a "dull spot" on your retina.

Quite. The fact it's only affected one eye should be more concerning.
