I'll try and simplify this otherwise i'll be prattling on all day.

You can take a wealth of supplements if you wish but there is nothijg better than healthy diet.

Ok first off.

After each weight training session take a fast absorbing whey protein shake with carbohydrates (such as CNP Pro-Recover)

Have a normal protein shake in the morning such as CNP Pro Peptide or if this is too expensive have a look at the My Porotein range of proteins - although i really do think CNP is the best. Also have another at night, take these with water.

Also consider taking L-Glutamine but the above protein might have sufficient amounts in but check first.

Also take a BCAA (branch chain amino acids)

People rave a lot Creatine but i'm not a lover to be honest.

But above all a clean high protein diet and heavy training but....... do not over train, certainly no more than 50-60 minutes in the gym tops and apart from a warm up and cool down keep any sustained cardio seperate to the weight training. You certainly dont need to do 5 days a week weights, 2-3 times will suffice.

I would say given that you are just getting into weights the actual weights session you do and how hard you train are going to have a much larger effect than what supplements you take at this stage of your training.

Just make sure that you get some protein within an hour of finishing your session, whether it is an expensive drink or normal food is up to you.

Creatine is the only real supplement that seems to work for the majority of people, though personally I wouldn't bother if you aim is juts to put some muscle on.
