Depends how low your iron count is. Did they say how many mgs you need a day?
Also, your body needs vitamin C to absorb the iron, so take with lots of orange juice and avoid dairy products for 2 hours either side of taking. They also make you constipated so it's a good idea to bulk up your diet with lots of fibre (plus lots of natural vit C and iron).
One product I recommend is spatone. It's a liquid sachet you mix with orange juice. Your body can absorb this iron much easier and therefore has less side effects.

well apparently thats my problem i love dairy products (mainly pints of milk lol) i didnt know iron tablets could had side effects. Like what?
for instance, im not going to wake up and my arms have fallen off
ive just done a quick search on the internet and it says weak finger nails and cold feet is a sign of iron is needed....maybe an appointment with my doc is needed!
