I thought something was not right, I have a stitch like feeling under my right rib. I told the doc to check my liver. He did a physical examination and couldn't feel anything abnormal, so I had a blood test.

Results are in, evrything came back normal except liver. He wants a word.

Sounds ominous. What am I going to do with all my wine?

Party at Groucho's this weekend!!

Good luck with results...

That stitch feeling is probably the acidic pickling of said liver. I am not a doctor.

Probs a high liver count. He'll probably tell you off for drinking too much. Advice that you'll probably ignore (if you're anything like me). And then he'll also ignore his own advice and drink whiskey when he gets home.

I walked past a hospital the other day and noticed quite a few staff (badges worn) smoking against the wall. Made me chuckle.

Could be any number of things. Possibly high counts due to drinking as mentioned. May also be a high ALT which can indicate "fatty liver", generally occuring if you have a high fat diet and are overweight.
Wouldn't worry about it - most things can be taken care of by a change in lifestyle etc if necessary. All the best smile

Good thing about livers is they can regenerate. As long as you stop or reduce doing whatever it is your doing to make it not work properly.

You've got 72 livers?

Greedy get. Most of us cope with one!

The defintion of a man with a drink problem is someone who drinks more than his doctor.
