If I sit still for more than about an hour (cinema etc) I get a severe pain in my left knee. This has been happening for a few years without getting any worse, but it's a nuisance. It's fine when I'm moving or if I can just stretch my leg out, it's just the prolonged 90 degree bend that does it.

Any suggestions as to what it is?

Where in the knee is the pain?

I had the exact same thing, I couldnt sit in a car for more than 30mins.

My pain was at the base of the knee cap but in a bit if that makes sense. It also hurts when running.

It screams of a cartilage issue although Ive not had a diagnosis.

got the same problems guys. try sitting crossed legged on the floor? does it hurt? seeing a doc Specialist and was told my calf and hamstring muscle are too tight which is causing pressure on the knee cap. He said very common thing. Been given stretching exercise to loosen up the muscle.

That sounds like it, thanks.
