Argos sale. £60 elliptical cross trainer or £60 magnetic bike. Which is best for calorie burning. I am using wieghts for strenght work, so really looking for the most efficent calorie burner.

I foun similar calorie consumption between the 2 but I found Xtrainer more useful, specifcally because it allows you to change the groups of muscles you are using. I burn approx.850-900 on a Xtrainer per hour.

Frankly - I wouldn't waste the money. I've bought similar things in the past and anything under about £300 will be made of cheese and will be terrible.

If you can't (as a minimum) quintuple your budget, then spend £60 on some trainers and get outside.

I find the cross trainer more rewarding than the bike. I feel like
I've worked harder/more areas.

My first trainer cost me £100 and it was the dogs, used it every day for about six months and never had a problem. Moved and couldn't take it with me so bought another for a couple of hundred and it broke within two weeks. I was around six weeks for a replacement. Replaced with a roger black that was around £300 at full price and it's excellent.
