Never have this problem with my local Chinese takeaway but the other day I thought I'd treat the kids to a Chinese meal in China Town and I had a very bad reaction which I can only presume was down to the MSG in the food.
As we left to go back to the car, my heart started beating fast and I had pains in my chest (Different to what I had when I had a heart attack in April, and believe me I am now paranoid about any little pain), my head felt like the blood vessels were gonna explode and I was incredibly thirsty. This feeling slowly lessened over about 3 hours and then was gone.
The kids were fine but the missus was also very thirsty and eventually threw up.
Nice!
The food was not cheap either and boy! did it taste good at the time.
The only difference between us and the kids was that we had Tsing Tsao Chinese beer with our food. I used to like this beer a lot but started to think that it tasted too chemically, as it did the other night.
Anyone else had this reaction? Cheers.

I'd suggest it was the knock-off beer you had.As we left to go back to the car, my heart started beating fast and I had pains in my chest (Different to what I had when I had a heart attack in April, and believe me I am now paranoid about any little pain), my head felt like the blood vessels were gonna explode and I was incredibly thirsty.
