+1. Keep it short and don't try to hide it.

Until hair cloning techniques are developed you have no hope. Propecia will slow down the hair loss a bit but you're just putting off the inevietable so yes cutting very short or shaving it all off are you're best options.

Many years ago after leaving school I worked in one of those 1 hour photo places. We had an entire wall full of photos of bald or shaved men which we had then biro'd alternative hairstyles on. Great!

From a females perspective shave it off.

There is nothing worse than a man desperately trying to hide hair loss with creative colouring and styling. A confident man with a bald head is more attractive than a cringe making whispy puff of nothingness masquerading as youth.

As soon as my bald spot got to the point that it was about the size of a golf ball I accepted my fate and went gracefully. Invested in a pair of clippers and have had a grade zero weekly ever since.

That was at about 21, and 5 years later I am much thinner on the top now.

It doesn't bother me. I suit a skinhead, the low to zero maintainance suits me just fine and I am not vain enough to bother about wanting to do something about it.

As above... get some £20 clippers from Boots. Never pay a penny more for hair cuts!

Proof it works...

Buy some decent shaving soap and good quality razor. Shave every three days.

Done and dusted and saves £500 a year.

Saves £500 on what? Haircuts?
It's been a long time since I needed the services of a barber but £500 makes me grateful for being a baldy.

stopped cutting the hair and shaving the face about a year ago, taken off the odd bit of hair from the ears and trimmed the beard with a pair of scissors, no comments from bosses yet, mind you they did not notice when I shaved off the hair the last time smile
