Any chiropodists on board?

Looking to get some toenail scissors, the "industrial" kind, but from what I've seen available online, there's about 3 or 4 different types (concave/straight/etc) and I've not got the foggiest as to why there's a difference.
So, anyone able to clue me in on what they do differently, and what's the type to go for, for simple, thick toenail cutting. No ingrowing issue.
