December is a month I always look forward to before the event as there is a lot of drinking and partying to be done, and also if I'm being honest, a lot of crap gets eaten too, people bringing in cakes, biscuits and other assorted goodies.

Now, I like a drink, but this month I've really suffered for my sins.

I've had 2 colds in three weeks and I hardly ever normally get colds. This weekend, I've been out on Friday and Sunday. Since yesterday I have felt REALLY crap, have had 2 days off work, with aching muscles, a stomach as raw as sandpaper and constant squirts. Also got a bit of a fever.

I'd go so far as to say its actually starting to put me off drinking quite a bit.

Anyone else suffer this time of year, or am I just a big pansy? hehe

Nope same here. I am generally pretty healthy, go to the gym a lot, used to ride 35m and run 10k each weekend.

I am currently injured, as well as up to my ears in work. Health is going a little to pot at the moment.

Usually I have 2 or so big nights out a month. Last few weekends have been pretty bad. I'm actually starting to feel un-fit, just when sitting there.

Ah well, once the weather gets better and I'm recovered, it's get into shape for Summer time.

I'm ill without fail this time of the year every year. It's almost as if my body hangs on until I finish work for the Christmas break and then succumbs to being ill, and 9 out of 10 it's a chest infection.

Last Christmas I had the most horrendous chest infection which had me laid up in bed for 4 days with hardly any energy, so lord only knows what it has in store for me this year.

Fingers crossed we all see it out until the better warmer weather finds us.

Bad skin
constant tiredness
a day or 2 to recover from a night out
general laziness

Same happens every year. Decent excersise is my best cure.
