I somehow managed to chip rather a large bit of tooth off, from one of my back teeth about a year ago now, i've not done anything with it, it never hurt or caused issue before so if its not hurting then its fine... well not really...
Because of that, i've had a crack spead through the bottom of the tooth which has now opened up, its aching nicely but its not properly killing me, what can i do to fill the crack...
I've called the dentist, they cant fit me in for 2-3weeks and as its close to christmas i cant really afford to spend out just yet, so what are my options?

I'd go and sit in the waiting room and get it seen to. It might be a dull ache at the moment but when it hits the nerve you are going to be smacking your head against the wall just to divert your attention from the pain of your tooth.
Don't wait until it really hurts because invariably it will start doing so at lunchtime saturday and you will be fked until Monday AM.
Oh and BTW forget painkillers and oil of cloves the only thing that numbs toothache is very strong skunk.

You can book an emergency appointment with a NHS dentist - try phoning around.
Boots do an emergency filling kit too.
Top stuff, to boots it is!Boots do an emergency filling kit too.
I will report back, once i've filled my mouth shut
NHS dentist saw me the following day.
Just to warn you though... don't expect any nice conversation, and quite possibly a chap in the chair that resembles Dr Kildare! (I done a rhyme!)

I'll make sure i don't before i go in, not that i'm a massive smoker though.
I cant get away from work untill tomorrow Pm so will just have to wait and see if i can get to the doc in time, if not, i'll just have to get very stoned untill monday.
May as well give the diy filling a go untill then though!
