For the last 2-3 months i have been getting headaches, typically from the moment i get up until i go to bed and tbh its really pissing me off. Its every day frown
I did go to the doctor who tried to prescribe me beta blockers? but i declined them. He brushed it off as not being a problem, trust me after all this time now it is becoming a problem.

My teeth are all good, my eys are good, i don't 'think' i,m under any more stress than the next man, generally eat quite well etc etc.
I did have a problem with a rotting wisdom tooth and hoped that was the cause as i have had headaches from dodgy teeth in the past, when she took the root out i,m sure it felt better for a few days but not sure as the pain from the extraction was a differnt type of pain so i,m unsure on that one. After a few days the normal irritating headache is back.

The headaches are usually at the front of my head and not so severe that i can't go about daily buisness, sometimes its the back of my head but rarely tbh. Its not that bad, sort of feels like any sharp movement will hurt iykwim. Just annoying more than anything, but then whats not that bad to me could be horrific to someone else and vice versa.

One thing which would tie up to all this is i recently stopped drinking red bull. I reckon i have had at least 1 can a day since 1999 , i read that withdrawl of a chemical can cause headaches?

Things like nurofen do help but i prefer not to take them as i know it will only mask any potential problem.

Any ideas before i go back to the doctor to ask to be referred?

You sound like you're easily worried, so I'd be tempted not to listen to all the jokes that will appear on here any second and get yourself back to the doctor for some proper advice.

Unless it's a stabbing pain located around the eye socket in the morning, in which case take the spoon out of your tea.

Caffeine withdrawal can cause headaches - for about 1/2 day - a day but that doesn't sound right.

Suggest you post your question on the Skyline forums too, in the tech section, that'll get you the answers you need.

Another vote for Doctor.

I drink barely any water, plenty of stuff like coke and orange squash etc (i know i know frown )

I,m 29 and have never drunk lots of water so its odd for this to come on so suddenly.

As pathetic as it sounds i,m now worried its something serious which in turn will make me stressed and give me a headache in turn making me even more stressed hehe

The doctor is saw was just not interested, asked me a few questions, tested blood pressure and that was that. I,ll have to ask to see another.

I've had caffine withdraw symptoms when i've stopped drinking tea. Screaming headaches that reduce over a week or so. If you've been having large hits from red bull for the last ten years then your body is complaining. Try drinking some red bull and see if the headaches go, you will be able to rule that out.

And as said above drink more water

I'm sure if the doc really thought there might be something serious wrong then he would have put you in for a scan ASAP. Always worth a second opinion if your are not happy with your noggin though.

A really stupid suggestion:
Has this only started getting worse again now the colder months are here? The reason I say this is because its so freakin cold in my room during autumn / winter (+ I hate trying to sleep in warm rooms) I sometimes sleep with a hat on, otherwise I wake up with a headache... heat loss through my head while sleeping or something. Told you it was a stupid suggestion.

Last time I gave up caffeine, I had screaming headaches for a couple of weeks.

Sadly I'm back on the coffee and diet coke again.

Ok, I'm not a nutritionist but from what I know patterns like this are going to play havoc with you.

I gave up caffeine earlier this year. Had headaches for weeks.

Read this:

Have you ever wondered why Coke comes with a smile? It’s because it gets you high. They took the cocaine out almost a hundred years ago. You know why? It was redundant.
In The First 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don’t immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down.
20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There’s plenty of that at this particular moment)
40 minutes: Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response your livers dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness.
45 minutes: Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way.
>60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.
>60 Minutes: The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you’ll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolyte and water.
>60 minutes: As the rave inside of you dies down you’ll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You’ve also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like even having the ability to hydrate your system or build strong bones and teeth.
This will all be followed by a caffeine crash in the next few hours. (As little as two if you’re a smoker.) But, hey, have another Coke, it’ll make you feel better.
My advice. Cut out the st. Drink lots of water.

Do this for a couple of weeks and take stock. Feeling better?
In the meantime also make an appointment with your GP. If you tell them what you told us they'll probably give the same advice, but I don't want to be responsible for your death wink

I don't think its the weather, i'm quite tolerant of the cold as i have worked outside pretty much for my whole working life- I,m always too hot leading the o/h complaining when i have all the windows open hehe

I think i,ll try a can of redbull tomorrow and try and rule that out.
Seriously the stuff is addictive, well to me anyway hehe as pathetic as it sounds if i didnt have a can of that st in the morning i couldn't think about much else until i got it. Some afternoons i,d have a can and instantly feel better, more motivated if you like.

I stopped drinking it because i am well aware its not a clever thing to be drinking every day religiously.

Over the last couple of weeks i have been drinking that V invigorate drink which does wake me up a bit but is no where near as good as redbull.

I guess as well that if it was serious that doctor would refer me, its not in his interest to have his patients dying hehe

Ok that coke thing is pretty alarming and some of it rings true....

A couple of months ago i went and had a full body massage (not that kind biglaugh )

I told her about my
addiction to redbull
maybe 1 litre of coke a day
1-4 coffees a day (2 sugers)
1-8 teas a day (2 sugers)

I also smoke 20 a day

She told me what any half healthy person would, that its utter crap and is not good.

So off i went with an all new target- to cut the crap out.
Straight away i stopped all the above (except the fags) except maybe having a couple of teas/coffees. I drank plenty of water too.
I felt like st almost straight away, you know the feeling you get when you haven't eaten all day? well thats what i was getting, but even straight after eating a huge meal. I would come over faint maybe 6 or 7 times a day and tbh after about 10 days i could take no more and got back on the st drinks ( i actually eat reasonably healthy food, very little fast food) within a couple of days i,m back to normal.

With respect to the above i,m at a loss of what to do? I seriously cant be going about every day thinking i,m going to faint, i do a physical job and it just wasn't working.

It's not about stopping instantly . That will never work with your intakes.

Reduction and then eventually bring it to a stop.

Less caffine and pop and more water would be a good place to start I reckon to see if it helps.

Just ramp it down over time. It's not easy - when I gave up coffee/tea (used to drink LOTS of really strong tea) it was due to medical reasons where continuing to drink it was much much worse than stopping. Made it kinda easy I'll admit, despite taking at least a couple of months to get totally over it.
