Evening all, I took my son to a soft play area this morning,
we had dinner it was very nice I had chilli and chips he had fish fingers.
I've just been in the toilet for an hour saying hello to the chilli again.
Now I feel rubbish.
As the chilli is the only thing I've eaten today this must be the cause.
What to do tomorrow, enviromental health mite be interested as it's a kids centre or just fone the boss and leave it at that.

You could have picked up an infection anywhere, the possibility is that you've touched something contaminated somewhere that day, but who knows where.
You can still try and contact them though, if a few people went down, then it's pretty likely, but likewise, it could be from somewhere else, or entirely unrelated to what you have eaten.

This is exactly what I was told when I contacted Environmental Health after a similar episode.I'd had a tuna sandwich from a sandwich bar. The EV people said it would take more than 24hours for the germs to have an effect if it had been the tuna. Coupled with the fact they had no other reports, they ruled it out.

Worth a phone call though.

Richard,

Unfortunately, it can takes some kinds of bacteria 48 hours to infect you so look back over the last two days and see if there was anything else that you had that could have caused it?
IMHO, those kids play areas are a breeding ground for bugs etc and it could have been something you touched that was infected and was passed onto your hands....

I took my three to a place not far from me and after an hour, we were asked to leave the particular ball pit as one of the other kids had come out with bulging pants after sitting in his own s#*te for a while.....tend not to use them much now....

Best thing to do if you think you have food poisoning is get to a Doctors and get tested. They have a due diligence to contact the EHO if it comes back as positive. Then the EHO may investigate if others have reported similar from the same site.

Thats a decent thing to do. To be certain, I would ask her for another chilli just to help her prove her point.

If she says yes, give me the address yesbiggrin

I had chili on a kebab the other day.

Had a serious case of ring sting going.

While you're on the crapper, you need to listen to the Kevin Bloody Wilson song "The Bali Belly Song".

You'll appreciate it.

You'll never st solid again.....
