Firework + Chest = Pain
Discussion
So Saturday night we all go to my family yearly bonfire party, Standing 30 ish metres away from where the fireworks are being lit. I'm talking to my cousins kids when suddenly i'm on the floor, waking up with people all around me. Plus a few doctors. (As a few are friends of the family) I'd apparently been hit in the chest(heart) with a rocket that had tilted before shooting off. At the time I was finding it hard to breathe etc. But a few more beers and got on with the night. Luckily it wasn't 12" up or down as it would of been my face or the kids.
Yesterday morning woke up about 6am in agony, Can't roll onto my chest and great massive bruise/swelling.
Now today its still hurting and if I push my sternum/Ribs/heart area it gets worse..still a bit hard to breathe.
Probably a daft question but is it possibly that I've damaged anything?
I would go to the doctors but I've just recovered from a broken ankle and can't be bothered with it all again.

cracked rib or just bruising. from experience, bruised ribs hurt more than you think they should! best get checked over though just in case.
when i was younger a screamer rocket stuck in its launch tube. all eyes were skyward wondering why they could hear the thing but not see it. then it blew up, and the fragments from the launch tube hit me square in the knackers. ouchy ouch ouch!

Yeah I was mainly thinking just bruising, but the drunken doctors and now the Mrs keep going on has got me thinking...
I even tried to walk off my broken ankle until someone threw me in a car and took me to the quacks
Cheers guys. Think i'll leave it a few days to see if it goes down on its own. Then might have a check up when I go to take my crutches back if it still hurts
And ouchy ouch ouch about the fireworks + knackers

Do you have a walk in center near by. They handle simple minor injuries, tend to have less of a queue and you don't need to feel all guilty about having a nurse away from someone who's been in a car crash just to confirm it's a bruise.I even tried to walk off my broken ankle until someone threw me in a car and took me to the quacks
