Blacking out

A friend has blacked out during..."the deed". He said his vision went black for a couple of seconds then he was fine with a slight bit of dizzyness.

A quick google suggests it could be quite serious..or could it just be lack of energy?

I had a few episodes of this (not during that though)
my cholesterol was high, had tablets for it and no probs since
