Over the past couple of weeks I've managed to lose not far off a stone.

No exercise, no fad diets just eating a bit more healthily, in moderation and cutting the booze/pop right out.

I reckon another 2 stone and I will be optimum weight.

That is all!

How much of a loss are talking here?

30 stone to 29?

10 stone to 9?

Details man, details.

Sounds impressive but depends how big you were to start with, a 20+ stone man loosing a stone wouldn't be as impressive as a 14 stone man. Some of those American beasts could loose a stone with a good dump.

Well done anyway.

Well good, if you're happy with it, but I thought weight loss was supposed to be done at a lower rate than that. I thought something around two pounds per week was the recommended target, but I don't know the reason for it.

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Think the reason is that any more than that and it f**ks with your metabolism.
It goes into starvation mode, so if you even look at a pie you'll lob on half a stone.

I did the same thing, several years back. Lost 18 kilos in three months.

But I got lazy and fed up of being sensible, and nearly all of it came back..... frown
