For a good 6 months or so now, I have had really bad wind.
As soon as I wake up in the morning, I burp for about 2 hours and my tummy is really bloated & uncomfortable.
Also, after eating a good meal, I feel the same.
I get a bad case of "the burps" during the day as well.

So, what have I got?

I did read something about undigested food & gall stones?

Im 32 years old, and use the gym regularly so am in quite good health/shape.

Cheers

Sounds like gall bladder problems to me. My sis and gran have both had the same symptoms and each had to have gall bladder removed. Only my opinion though, no medical experience.

Have you changed your diet in relation to your gym use? A high protein diet probably won't help your problem...

Thats a good point! One of my old gym buddies used to have protein shakes on a daily basis and he started farting like a trooper!

With regards to the activia, i havent tried it but know a few that have, and apparently it does a good job at 'flushing your system' if you catch my drift wink

It did help them feel a bit fresher though and they still use it!

It improves digestive transit = it gives you the sts.

You seem to be suffering from some form of gastrointestinal complaint. Go to see your GP because it could be any one of a number of things. Some easily treated, some not.

Uncontrollable burping can be caused by Irritable Bowel Syndrome, as well as inflammation of the upper digestive tract, ulcers, or "delayed gastric emptying".

So, stop belching around on here and get an appointment.

I used to suffer from terrible acid indigestion, and sitting on it for far too long made matters worse because taking normal anti-acid medication (basically chalk) caused hyperacidosis (even more stomach acid). The GP has put me on ranitidine which has sorted it out, and I wish that I'd gone sooner.

I saw my GP last night who said basically what you've said (you sure youre not a DR?).
Anyway, Im on Gaviscon for 1 week, if that doesnt cure it, im on an Acid Blocker?? for 1 week, and if that fails, theyre sending me for a gastro-something-or-other....

Isn't that when they replace the stomach with a small goat that can digest anything you swallow and then passes out pellets that you absorb in the gut? silly

Strangley enough I have had similar with bloatedness and acid issues....

started 1 week ago after camping trip and cider, then since then I got a cold and any medication I take (nasal/sprays) have resulted in acid indegestion.

Also I will be fine for hours and then eat loads of food and in the morning, my stomach really aches like I have not eaten and sometimes I wake up with acid pains... just lower gut tho?

I thought it could be stress and nervousness of starting new job at the same time?

It's possible as stress affects the digestive system.
