How to lower stress levels?
Discussion
I found that giving up helped lots. Stop caring. Accept that you've fked your life up beyond belief listening to people you never should have and just sit and stare at the walls all day instead. You get depressed, but on balance I find that being depressed is less painful than being stressed.

agree to an extent. the key to lowering your stress levels is to either:a] improve your capacity to cope with your workload - i.e. delegate, more staff, better systems.
b] remove the triggers that are causing you stress, or at least recognise what they are so that you can address them.
c] stop caring.
c is an indicator you need to change jobs/career.
Work out what you're stressed about and then categorise each item in terms of "Can I DO anything about it" - I find that things fall into 3 categories:
1. Stuff I can do something about now
2. Stuff I will be able to do something about sometime
3. Stuff I can't do anything about
For the stuff I can do something about now, I work out what to do and start doing it. For the stuff I can do something about sometime, I work out what I need to be able to take action and try to move towards that. For the stuff I can't do anything about, I accept it and try to stop worrying about it.
Most of this thinking goes on while I'm exercising as I find that is a great way to sort out my head and get things back in proportion.
