need a new one but funds are tight at the mo - is there much difference between a £15 one and a £115 one? does sonic or any other gimmicks actually work or is a standard brush ok? any recommendations?

thanks

No need to spend a fortune. Just get a Braun/Oral B Vitality, there's a version with a 2min timer. They are about €20 over here so I guess should be about £15 in the UK.

If you can still find them, Braun did make an electric toothbrush that takes the usual heads but runs on 2x AA batteries. Works fine on rechargeables, and if you take it abroad there is no charger to carry. I think they were £7.

ETA- £9.99 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Braun-400-Advance-Battery-...
