vasectomy reversal, and im sh***ing myself !

well im having the snip reversed on saturday. i had it done 10 years ago, so i know all the ins and outs and statistics etc (gulp), but im really worried.

its the thought of the general atasthetic more than the op itself! i cant wait till its all over.

anybody else has it done ?

Is it general anesthetic for the reversal? These days they just numb your nuts for the snip (or so I've heard)

googled for vasectomy reversal under images, nice sharp knife and then microscope to operate with, if the doctor is not using a microscope, then the chances are less than 10%

What are the odds after 10 years? I did think about it 6 or 7 years ago when I had already been 12 years a Jaffa.

the odds of a sucessfull reversal are very high, but the odds of actually going on to concieve a child given my age and the length of time since the snip are 40%.

i also had sperm retrieval as part of the op, so we may have ivf in the future if we dont have any joy naturally.

im sat here now 4.40pm, and had the op at 8.30 this morning.
the pain killers are working well, but i can feel a dull ache similar to the aftermath of being kicked in the nads !

worst part is i have to wear a jock strap type device for the next 3 days !
