Hi,

I've got a neurology appt that's come through for 4 weeks time. Couple of questions, would going private reduce that timescale by much? Any idea on costs, been told a ct scan is likely.

Thanks
Warren

AFAIK private consultations are roughly the same price, usually around £150 for the inital visit, then £100ish for any further trips. Which grates slightly if you're only in the office with the consultant for 5 minutes...

4 weeks is pretty good for an NHS wait, do you feel your symptoms warrant being seen sooner?

Never seen a neurologist, but seen several other consultanty types.

NHS said about a month, I saw a BUPA guy within days.

As for the CT, around £500 IIRC - depending on what you need, less if only a small section, more if a whole body scan.
