Inflamed polyps only when i sleep!

Hi,
When i go to bed i often wake up in the early hours of the morning with my usually one but sometimes both of my nostrils pretty much blocked sometimes completely! Whatever side of nostril is blocked up, the same side eye will be in serious pain and full of goopy mucus like substance. If i get up then the pain in the eye and the nose will clear with loads of mucus being spat out after a few hours! My eye will be left with slightly blurred vision for the rest of the day! I can see by looking up my nose that the polys are swollen so much that they squeeze agains the middle section of my nose and block the airway off but will get smaller after a few hours. The pain in my eye is agonising when i lift the upper eye lid it has a layer of goop attached to it which i scrape off with tissue. The pain goes from that area of the eye but still hurts behind the eye where i cant get to. Would this goop/mucus go right behind the eye and irritate it?
Could the polpys be blocking the mucus and causing it to back up into the eye? I think i may be allergic to some ingredients in foods as sometimes i am fine for a few days and then it can happen everyday for 4/5 days.
Any help will be appreciated as i will probably loose my job soon from constantly ringing in saying i'll be late from not being able to see for the first few hours of the day!
