Over the past 6 months I have lost a lot of weight, strength and become incredibly unfit. I currently weigh 11.5 stone and am 6ft 3. < think skelator!

I used to weigh 14 stone and was happy with my weight but wanted to increase my upper body size.

How many calories should I be eating per day for bulking up?

I've joined a gym and am going to start training as of next week.

I have the usual whey protein and creatine supplements.

I do find it hard to put on weight when not guzzling down the beer though.

Any advice welcome

You dont want to be putting on weight as fat but as lean tissue, eat more 'clean' protein supplement your diet with whey protein shakes. train really heavy 2-3 times a week max and go easy on the cardio - if you do cardio though do it completely seperate to your weight training days.

Its impossible to give you an exact figure.

You`ll have to work it out from trial and error. Monitor your intake, and adjust it accordingly.
