What could cause this... I pretty much can't focus. I see stars and swirls like when you push against your eyes.

I also feel sick.

Just sat at my desk.

frown

Am I dying?

You have just had an episode of optical migrane - it usually only lasts 5 or 10 mins & you might only ever have it once in your lifetime.....another symptom is tunnel vision, as if losing your peripheral vision.........no pain accompanies this ailment.

It will clear up & everything will be fine, my mate gets it regularly & has to pull over as soon as the stars appear when driving.

Drove to Oasis last night so didn't drink at all. Maybe the tired has triggered this frown

It can be caused by being over tired/stressed & can be brought on by having to concentrate a lot when tired............it would appear that your trip may have contributed but don't panic, it will be completely gone within 20 mins or so.

Could also be down to high blood pressure, my brother had something similar happen to him, but it didn't come on all of a sudden.

If it's hanging around see an optician as they will be able to check the back of the eye for you

Yes thanks. Feeling much better smile

Though I have taken Parrots-eat-em-all. Felt like I was on a boat for a while then hurl

I have had my blood pressure checked not so long ago and it was fine. Could it alter significantly through the day?

My balance went as well.

Did anything further come of it? Or you have further episodes?

I don't know how quickly it shifts up and down, however my brother's was so high a blood vessel at the back of his eye had burst and affected his vision, very similar symptoms to what you were describing. It was discovered by a check up at the opticians.

If I had high blood pressure would that be a constant or a variable?
