I seem to have a bit of a drink problem. Every once in a while when I've had a drink I get a red face and my breathing gets a bit tight. When I take my shirt off I have what can only be described as a tide mark round my lower neck / upper chest were the redness stops.
This has happened for years and seems to happen when I'm out more than sitting in the house having a drink.
Last night I took my staff out for dinner and to the races. I had three pints of larger with dinner and felt my face going red and breathing going.
I'm quite fit (can run 10K in under an hour), not really overweight (possibly half a stone) and have asthma which I use an inhaler for.

Over the years I have had a number of theory's:

It used to always happen at weddings so thought it was champagne. No
Thought it could be red wine then white wine. No
Could be getting too hot in my kilt etc but does not happen on hols.
Possibly stress as it happens at weddings work nights etc and not at home.
Possibly not re-hydrated enough but drunk lots of pints of water before going out last night.

Does this happen to anyone else, its really starting to spoil some nights out.

Does the tide mark stop where your clothes start. Happens to me when I have a LOT to drink.
