Another broken bone in my foot, is there any point......
Discussion
in going to A&E? I don't want to waste their time they have enough to do. 3 years ago I broke a bone in my left foot, OK I had run a cement mixer over it. I hobbled for a week or two no problem, until I drove a manual and had to use a clutch, then it swelled, at which point my O/H made me go to A&E. They said the x ray showed a 3 week old break, go home and rest it.
Well last week I hurt my right foot just walking down some stairs, I know the feeling, yes I have broken a bone in my right foot. The question is, is there any point in going to A&E and wasting their valuable time to be told to 'just rest it'.
PS I think red wine is a great healer. Come to think of it, I just want sympathy.

If you broke your foot just walking down some stairs, you need to see somebody. You probably have something wrong, that diet might help.
I broke my hand and the hospital did'nt do much, put a half cast on it, but that was just to protect it, it did help a bit, because people see it and don't shake your hand etc.
After that i broke my other hand, and did'nt go hospital, i put a bandage on to warn others, it heald same as before.

You need to get it imaged to determine where it's broken. If bad enough it may need surgical correction.
Either go to your GP if you can get in pronto, your local minor injuries unit or A&E.
Oh and it's quite feasible for a 100% fit and healthy person to fracture a metatarsal by simply stepping of a kerb at a slightly funny angle.
