having just broken my glasses, ie one of the lense has fallen out, and as its sunday and i need them for work, does anyone know what damage would occur super gluing the lense back onto the frame itself??? They are frameless around the bottom and the sides, and the only thing that seems to have been holding the lense in, is a small strong thin piece of plastic?, almost like string which broke when i droppped them onto concrete :@. any thoughts or ideas, need them all the time driving work etc, thanks very much

DO NOT SUPER GLUE!!!!
Has the plastic string/tape actually snapped? or just came out of it's housing?
Quite common, and only takes a few minutes to sort with the correct equipment. Can you not get someone to drive you to your local opticians tomorrow before work, and just call in late...other wise the super glue idea will cost you a whole new pair, as a pose to £10 repair (cost a few years back)

put the lens back into place, bar the thin wire thing at the bottom.
lever the wire over the lens to secure it in place
-mended and no damage done.
YOu need something thin and strong to lever the cord over the lens through. I recommend a spark plug gap feeler thingy. Hey, we're petrolheads aren;t we?
