Best Sun Block for Birthmark.

Hello all,
Just a quick question. I have a port wine birthmark that covers most of the top of my right foot and I have always used "adult" factor 50 sun block on it. I couldn't find some in Tescos and asked the Pharmacist, explained why I wanted it and if they had any in stock. The pharmacist then told me I shoud be using baby sunblock as the skin in a birthmark is more like a babies skin than normal adults.
Is this true or is it some old wives tale.
